London 2012

Had a few days in London and was impressed with how clean everything was, and hardly any traffic We took the Caledonian sleeper which left at 2252 and arrived in London 0730 refreshed and looking forward to the day, it was so hot and it was January although we did have a snow flurry the next day LOL
Visited: British Library saw the Codex Sinaiticus plus other great parts of our history
British Museum: saw many objects from history that I have read about in the Bible what is the Bible true ?????

Imperial War Museum:  was awesome so much to see I suggest you start at the basement and work up, leave the Holocaust Exhibition till the end its very moving and you need time to just sit and reflect and pray about what you have seen.

More of an adult psychological book than an adventure but still a good read.

From The frozen Artic to the hot Calabar Jungle

Two more books I have read this week.
North to Adventure: K M Peyton
Another boy’s adventure, young Nick goes off with his uncle Ross to the Artic. It’s just as if he has gone for a bike ride to the park. O for the old days without fluorescent jacket and social do-gooder. He swims in the ice flowing sea and takes a kayak out on the ice, top stuff. Good read

Heroes of the Faith, Mary Slessor: Sam Wellman
What an story, just a small wee lass from bonnie Dundee off to spread the Word to people in Calabar, who believed in some very dark things including killing twins as they are evil. She did some amazing things, what a great Lady she was someone the Scottish nation should be proud of and not some druken womanizing bad poet.
Very good read.
